Connecting Reolink cameras to Teleport

PoE and Wi-fi Reolink cameras are supported, battery models too

Updated over a week ago

PoE and Wi-fi cameras are fully supported. Battery powered models usually do not support required FTP/RTSP/JPEG endpoints, however with these cameras you can use the SMTP alert function to upload images to Teleport.

PTZ is also available on these cameras, allowing you to control the camera remotely through our player in real-time or capture multiple separate time-lapses and histories each from a different PTZ location.

Reolink camera setup is straight forward, there are two options connect via FTP or port forwarding to rtsp or http endpoints. Reach out to our support staff via chat with any questions.

FTP - Connect to Reolink cameras using FTP

In the FTP section under Surveillence -> FTP enter the following, getting the details for your feed from the 'Live image' tab on your feed dashboard. Setting the 'Interval' option to the same value as your feed settings.

Hit 'Save', then below make sure to use the timer option and set the desired schedule, you can disable the Alarm feature if not used.

Hit 'Save' and images should now start streaming to your Teleport feed.

Port forwarding - Connect to Reolink cameras using HTTP or RTSP

For a more versatile connection where you can edit schedule on the Teleport dashboard and only send images or video when viewers are present use port forwarding to rtsp or http endpoints. Reach out to our support staff via chat with any questions.
